Computer Vision Engineer
What to Expect:
First Day - onboarding day, computer setups, meet the team- The first week - meet with key stakeholders, get to know the code base and be able to run it, get a sense of the problem and understand what we are trying to do, read some documentation, find out where the data lives
- The first month - understand the code, literature review, create a proposal to solve the problem, and start doing experiments
- Within the first three months - write some code, experiment with code, present a report on what they found so far and what they will try next to get better results, and plan next steps focus on face tracking with a milestone to present to the lead and team, information sharing with team lead, VP, and team
- Six months to twelve months - ship a solution to our internal teams (it doesn’t have to be the final solution, but a solution others can use) provide training and knowledge transfer to internal stakeholders including other engineers and other departments
Your primary focus is computer vision and deep learning tied to current projects in beta PLUS bringing in expertise and knowledge to share with team members.
Experience Required:
Education in related fields (computer vision, machine learning, computer science)- At least 5+ years of deep learning, computer visioning, machine learning
- Expertise in Python
- Foundational knowledge of C++
- Knowledge and experience with database languages and big data tools
- Strong individual contributor with the capacity for leadership and coaching skills
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Passion for working with research and experimental projects, creating processes, and efficiency
Bonus Skills/Knowledge:
3D software- Working with 2D images
- Interest in cutting edge technology in the virtual creature and character space
